What type of pain comes with ovarian cysts?

I was rushed to the ER about a month and a half ago with severe, sharp pain in my right side. They thought I had appendicitis but the scans showed I had ovarian cysts. They gave me pain medication until the sharp pain faded two days later and I was ok. But now I have what feels like period cramps constantly, weeks before and after my period. Can the cysts cause this? Should I be worried?

How likelyl is clomid to cause ovarian cysts?

Get Natural Ovarian Relief! Click Here For Ovarian Relief!

I generally ovulate on my own, but the dr. prescribed me clomid 50mg in order to regulate when I ovulate in case he wants to perform an IUI treatment at the first of the year (I have miscarried 4 times prior, all within the first 7 weeks of pregnancy).

Ive taken clomid before.

Ive only had 1 cyst, while not on clomid (I have been diagnosed w/ mild pcos). This month, I have had lower back pain on my right side and have a dull ache. Im almost certain its a cyst, though I wont be going in yet for an ultrasound to confirm since its not bothering me too much.

The last cyst I had, without clomid, I found after ovulating on day 26 — he said I probably had one since I ovulated so late and checked, and there it was. It ruptured the next month. That was in May of this year.

Just curious what the chances of clomid causes cysts is. Thanks.

Also, any women out there have pcos and used a medication other than clomid to ovulate? If so, what what is it called. I have an appt. with my RE on the 26th this month and I want options.

Thanks!
