Stomach pain followed by menstruation?
I prefer not to ask here, but my parents do not appear to be a doctor and I can not really find it on the Internet. Since middle school, I sometimes felt a sharp pain from my belly button and seems to follow a line all along .. yeah, down. I thought, for this reason, it was a muscle. It is almost always followed by my period. It does not occur before each period, however. I looked up ovarian cysts, and the school nurse said that may be an umbilical hernia. Does not seem to match the case. Any ideas? * I have cramps in my time, but it's a different pain. It is strong, as if I pulled a muscle. It is a straight line starting at my navel and down. I feel a pain like if I touch my navel at some point, but not as bad.
The pain is not in your stomach. Your stomach is way up higher you describe. The situation you describe is your uterus. BTW, your uterus is a muscle. So, what you called menstrual cramps. Everyone leads to a certain extent. Relax, you're fine. You just need to learn to cope. You need to experience for the next 40 years. Try to just ignore it. If it is too painful or embarrassing, try a hot water bottle or heating pad. Taking a pain reliever like Motrin for pain.
