Ladies with ovarian cysts-What were your symptoms, and do mine sound normal?

I have-some bloating, a dull ache in the lower left side of my back (dr. thinks cyst is on my left side) I have some pain when I urinate. I sometimes have a dull ache in my abdomen. I have pain on my lower left side, but it’s not constant. More than anything, my stomach is upset. I go from being nauseaus to having gas pains-of course, that may be from my nerves!!
I’ve seen my regular doctor, had blood tests to rule out other things. She is fairly confident that it is a cyst. I’m having an US on Wednesday.

Could be. Nothing will tell you for sure except an ultrasound. So this is nothing but speculation.

For me, I had a very large cyst on my left side. It actually started as pain on the RIGHT. This was due to the cyst tugging at my reproductive organs, causing strain on the opposite side.

Eventually, my left ovary began to twist and I had pain on both sides.

The pain started as only before my period (which was unusual for me, as I never used to get cramps), and then gradually started happening more and more until it was constant.

I also has very bad stomach cramps and nausea, exhaustion, and generally felt "not with it."

Your symptoms sound like they’re worth investigating. So, get them investigated.

I have recently been diagnosed with Poly-cystic Ovaries after not having a period for over 2mnths now.

Before I was diagnosed I experienced dull pains to lower left of my back and abdomen but I also had similar symptoms of pregnancy and before diagnosed thought I was.

I was disappointed and more annoyed than upset to find it was PCOS.

    Hope this helps
