Biblical Chronology – Egypt without Pharaoh for 300 years
I introduced my two previous articles I have changed Egyptian dynasties 1-12 along the timeline 161 years previously and I moved Egyptian dynasties 13-20 124 years earlier. These changes are in the same direction along the time line (earlier) and only a difference of 37 years (161 years, compared to 124 years). This difference in travel is relatively insignificant and can be explained by uncertainty about the dates of reign of dynasties 13-17 (historians recognize that the dating of dynasties 13-17 is difficult because many rules in this period may coincide). Therefore, I essentially agree with the dating of the chronology of Egyptian dynasties conventional 1-20 in the sense that the complete schedule for these dynasties should be moved earlier time of the order of 124-161 years.
Dynasties 21-26 are another matter. Since I changed these dynasties later in time by 181 13-20 years and earlier dynasties by at least 124 years, it must be a gap in the Egyptian calendar, somewhere from the reign of Ramses III's reign Shishak of 305 years! This result is remarkable. Nobody in the academic community has even suggested that a discontinuity of Egyptian dynasties have occurred. It was considered that Egypt has always been powerful enough to rule over itself and its neighbors, but it may very well be that Egypt was the thank you other invaders from the end of the dynasty of the early 20th to the 21st dynasty for about 300 years.
Therefore what happened in Egypt for 300 years?
The question of "what happened for 300 years" can not be adequately until we analyze the position of Egypt as a nation after the reign of Ramses III. Since the exodus of the Israelites occurred during his reign and if you believe the account of the Bible (which I probably do) Egypt must have been devastated. The ten plagues that have occurred during this period would have poisoned Nile (blood in the Nile) has decimated the food supply (locusts), brought the plague and disease across national and killed Many Eqyptians (angel of death of the Passover). Now consider the impact on their economies from labor Israelite slaves more than two million to flee their country (See the book of Numbers to the people of Israel at the time). Presumably the population of Egypt in This period should be much less than what it is today if the impact on the economy of Israel would be much more significant.
The scriptures also indicate that the Israelites were able to "loot" the Egyptians because the Egyptian citizens of empathy for their situation and gave the "go-away" gifts of gold and jewels. Now on top of all this, as I mentioned earlier, the army Egypt was essentially destroyed when they were drowned in the Red Sea. So recap, Egypt was decimated by the lack of water, diseases, plague, and much of the population died, the economy is severely weakened by a greatly reduced workforce, it has no army. How can we believe that this nation has survived in such circumstances? I do not think Egypt has managed to survive.
I do not think the enemies of Egypt were taking a vacation during all this was happening either. Libya and the Sea Peoples were the last foreign that historians have evidence of conduct of the war with Egypt in the 20th century dynasty. Ramses III was able to push these invaders. However, after the Exodus, I think there was another invader that has become visible, a nation of former slaves in Egypt, Israel. Think what Scripture says about Israel's new border south after they invaded Canaan (Numbers 33:5): "And the border is turning Azmon the river of Egypt, and its limit is set at sea. If you look up the word "Brook" in Strong's Concordance complete you will see that this word can mean river valley "which is the interpretation I favor. I do not think this verse means that the border of Israel began the River Nile. I think it is clearly stated in Joshua 3:47 p.m. when the "river of Egypt" seems to be near Gaza City in the context of this verse.
There are a lot of distance between the Gaza Strip and the Nile, however, if you look at a topological map of the area you will notice that the rugged mountainous geography of Israel transitions to the much lower flat of the Nile, near the Gaza Strip. historians Ramses VI report that brings out his forces voluntarily Canaan during his reign. The fourth day: why the Bible is historical truth Timeline Israelites crossed the Jordan to begin their conquest of Canaan very early in the reign of Ramses VII. Assuming that there are only a small error in the conventional chronology of Egypt, I believe that Israel is afraid Ramses VI Canaan returned to Egypt soon after their entry into Canaan. What is interesting about this is the Bible never mentions Israel skirmishes Egypt. Archaeologists have found evidence that Ramesses VI withdrew its forces from the land of Canaan. In fact, Egypt is never mentioned in the Bible in the book of Exodus to the reign of Solomon. It is quite possible that Egypt saw the size of the Israeli army and retired, which explains why it has not been recorded in the Bible. Egypt is retired important because Egypt is often used Canaan as a "buffer" to prevent other powers from nations such as the Hittites, Babylonians and Assyrians invaded Egypt. Therefore, not only in Egypt militarily weak it has also been made between three great country, Libya to the west, Ethiopia to the south (which now includes the Sudan) and Israel to the east. I think for the next three hundred years, Egypt has been identified with little chance of recovering its former glory.
The Dark Ages of the Eastern Mediterranean
Egyptologists have insisted that the 30 dynasties of Egypt followed one after another without any break in the chronology of these kings. There is no evidence history which supports the idea that Egypt has not had a pharaoh from 1200 BC to 900 BC? Consider the fact that almost all countries of the Eastern Mediterranean through a dark age, a period without a record of its history during that period. Historians say that Ancient Greece went through a dark period of the 12th to the 8th century BC between the Mycenaean and Archaic Greek civilizations. The Hittites seemed to have a dark age in the 13th to the 10th century BC Although Assyrians appeared to have a dark age of a hundred years from 1000 to 900 BC Thus, if all the neighboring nations of Egypt has been a dark period in the meantime why not Egypt?
Also consider that the Greeks referred to a dark age in Egypt as well. Greek mythology refers to a king of Egypt, Proteus, who became king of Egypt, after a period when Egypt has not had a king for five generations (Reference: Link Greek mythology, the author Carlos Parada, http://homepage.mac.com/cparada/GML / Proteus3.html). If we assume a generation has been a period of 60 years and five generations would be 300 years, certainly a possiblility. Then who is king Proteus of Egypt? According to Greek mythology Proteus was king of Egypt during the Trojan War, when Paris, prince of Troy, landed on the coast of Egypt with his captive Helen. Apparently, Paris had abducted Helen, the queen of Sparta. This is the incident that triggered the AA Trojan War. Herodotus also mentions in his book The Proteus stories about his role in the Trojan War. While Proteus is the king of Egypt during the Trojan War and because he is the king at the end of the period of 300 years of silence in Egyptian history, then the Trojan War must have occurred while around 900 BC, according to the Fourth Day: Why the Bible is historical truth timeline. Since it was the Greeks who invaded Mycenaean Troy is very possible that there was a gradual change of the Mycenaean civilization of the ancient Greek over a hundred years (900-800 BC) This means essentially that there was no dark age in ancient Greece as it has been so strongly supported by Peter James in his book centuries of darkness.
So where is the insertion point for this period of 300 years of silence in the conventional chronology of Egypt? Since then, occurs somewhere in time between the 20th and 21st dynasties of ancient Egypt, then the first king after this period of 300 years of silence must be in one of these dynasties. So the first powerful king in Egypt in 300 years would probably make some announcement or edict that would demonstrate that Egypt once again was in control of its own destiny.
I believe that the period of Ramses XI Ramses VI to meet all the conditions Screenings of the 300 missing years. Little was recorded about Ramses VII, VIII or IX. According to Herodotus the next king of Proteus was successful a king named Rhampsinutus (many historians believe that the Greek translation for a king named Ramesses). While Ramses was it? I think was Ramessses XI. Herodotus states that had a fortune Rhampsinutus "broad money" greater than any king of Egypt before him. Both Only pharaohs of Egypt's history that had silver coffins that were found were Psusennes the 21st Dynasty and Shishak I of Dynasty 23. This is important because I think this is proof that Ramessess XI is better as a king of the 21st dynasty, rather than the 20th Dynasty century.
I suggest that Ramses XI, as Rhampsinitus, acquired his fortune by working with metals since records story he built two large statues on the site of the Temple of Vulcan, the god of metalworking. Ancient Egypt was famous for its gold mines not its silver mines. Silver has been used mainly in the land of Canaan and Mesopotamia. A vast fortune in silver indicate Ramesses XI had become rich through trade in silver other products of Canaan (probably the horses). Historians have also found that Ramses XI declared a new marking time called the "repetition-of-birth. Many of the reigns of the kings of Egypt after Ramesses XI have been described in terms of years "In-the repetition of birth," rather than "in the Year of the reigning king today. I believe that Ramses XI was using of repeated births indicate the concept of "rebirth" of the Egyptian nation after 300 years of silence. Evidence of this new marking of time came from a listing on a wall of the Temple of Karnak, which read "The Year 7 of the repetition of births … under Ramesses XI.
Herodotus King also said Rhampsinutus has instituted a new annual observance that sounds eerily similar to the "repetition of births. Herodotus describes how Rhampsinitus down alive into Hades (hell) and played dice with Demeter called a god he came back alive from hell with a towel gold the winner of the dice. This story was the basis of an annual celebration. It seems that Rhampsinitus symbolically dies and comes alive every year with this celebration. Just one point after Herodotus talks about this celebration, he spoke of the following Egyptian religious doctrine.
The Egyptians believed the human body was immortal and when a person dies, his soul has entered an animal when the animal died, his soul continued to be reborn in a long list of animals that includes the animals of the earth, sea and air until his soul has entered a human body. This was a ring believed to last 3,000 years. Again this looks strangely like the idea of "repetition-of-birth. So I think the Rhampsinitus described by Herodotus and Greek mythology to be Ramses XI.
